Discipline Guidelines for Referrals, Tardies, and Cuts

Teacher Referrals

1^st Referral                   15 Minute detention after school with teacher, parent contacted.

 2^nd Referral                 20 Minute detention after school with teacher, parent contacted.

 3^rd Referral                 Parent contacted and student assigned 1 day of Saturday School.

 5 Referrals in a quarter results in 2 days of Saturday School and parent conference and loss of off-campus lunch privileges.

 7 Referrals in a semester results in SARB referral and suspension from school.

 10 Referrals or more in the semester will result in transfer to Community Day School or Continuation School.

Tardies

 1-3             15 Minutes teacher assigned detention.  Failure to serve results in Saturday School.

 4-6             Considered Truant AR5113©.  Saturday School/parent contacted and loss of off-campus lunch privileges (9-12).

 7-10         Parent conference, SARB referral and Saturday School.

 Cuts

        When a student cuts a class, work may not be made up.  This includes any homework that was due, tests or class work.

1-3             “F” for the period.  1 day of Saturday School.

 4-6             Referral to SARB, possible “F” for the class that has been cut.

 7+            Suspension, possible transfer to Community Day School or Continuation High School.

            Failure to show up for assigned Saturday School will result in a truancy and possible referral to the District Attorney.
